Thoughts to reflect upon; this is the doodle page where I record some thoughts and inspirations for writing. They may or may not develop into a poem, which may not relate to the image that begins the thought process. Lets see.

Brickwork; is it ancient or modern?
There are several different types of brickwork here and they may be from different ages, built on what has previously gone before, some of it may be path, some retaining wall, others will be a finishing touch, but is it only decorative? How strong are the foundations?
We all build our lives on those who have gone before us, often family but also people we meet or read about. Are you laying good foundations for yourself, and those who will be following behind? Are you accepting that responsibility?
Did you notice the rook?
An elevated viewpoint looking over a cosmopolitan landscape.
Do you admire the height you’ve come to, the horizon away in the great distance? Perhaps you see the buildings and offices, but do you wonder how many people are working in them, do they live nearby or commute from that mid-distance where commercial premises give way to residential communities? Have you noticed the number of cranes and the new-build development taking place? How much investment does that need, what does that say for commitment? Do you look for reassurance in the weather, are you making plans for tomorrow or the weekend?.
A vase of beautiful roses, perhaps to celebrate some special occasion.
Do you admire the delicate colours or the flower head size, or do they look past their best? Often used as symbols of love, cut roses do not last long and quickly fade. Is that what’s happening here? When you proffer love, is it only short term, does it too quickly shrivel and die? Can you see beauty in old age?
